Hello
Thank you for visiting our site!
Bright Paws is my dream, a number of years ago I wanted to change my career, sick of travelling up and down the country and doing a job that I didn’t feel made a difference. I started retraining in 2006 and the rest as that say is history.
I have always loved dogs and the opportunity to be making a difference to dogs’ lives is the thing I love most about my job. Because we offer a range of different services through the business, no two days are the same and it also means we can take a holistic approach and help support animals and their humans on a number of levels.
I am a qualified canine myotherapist (massage therapist), hydro-therapist, behaviourist and Reiki Master. I hold certificates in Canine Nutrition, Spinal Conditions and Orthopaedic conditions. I am passionate about learning and continue to develop myself professionally – currently through a Master’s Degree in Canine Aggression.
As well as holding animal based qualifications I am also a qualified coach and people development specialist, this is what I believe makes me unique. I can communicate and work with animals and people, in fact my passion is deepening the special and trusted bond between an animal and its human so they can both enjoy a long, happy and special relationship.
Through Bright Paws I run training classes from puppy through to problem behavior, I offer 1-2-1 appointment and offer a range of seminars and events. If you would like me to come and speak at your dog club or even in your business (drawing learning from animals and how it can be used in the workplace) then please get in touch.
I live in Durham with my husband, Ross and my 4 gorgeous dogs: Mavis, Oscar, Bella and new boy Bud.
Please sign up for our newsletter which I write fortnightly and don’t forget to follow us on twitter!
I think this quote sums up what Bright Paws is all about, and is the inspiration behind what we do:
“He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.”
